Production Manager

I am working with a leading food manufacturer in Bedfordshire, supporting them with the recruitment of a hands-on Production Manager to lead their day-to-day manufacturing operations and help drive a safe, efficient, and high-performing production environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys leading people, improving processes, and maintaining high standards within a busy food production site.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading and supporting the production team, ensuring everyone works safely and effectively.

• Keeping processes running smoothly — staffing, planning, training, and performance management.

• Monitoring output and efficiency, identifying improvements, and driving continuous change.

• Maintaining strong hygiene, quality, and food safety standards.

• Supporting audits, reducing waste, and helping the site hit key performance targets.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in food manufacturing or a similar production environment.

• Experience working with BRC

• Holds HACCP level 3, food safety level 3 and IOSH

• A confident people manager who can motivate and develop a team.

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.

• Safety-focused, proactive, and comfortable working on the production floor.

• Able to lead projects and build strong working relationships.

• Willingness to travel to customers when required.
