Project Engineer

Alexander Steele are working in partnership with a large, multi-site, food manufacturing business. Due to large scale capital investment, they are looking to recruit a Project Engineer on a permanent basis for their site in London. The role of the Project Engineer is a key role within the team. The role will be responsible for ensuring successful understanding, costing and implementation of project within the factories in UK and will include full lifecycle project engineering best practice sharing and benchmarking. The role will be working Monday – Friday, paying between £40,000 - £45,000 for the right candidate. Responsibilities Capex control, prioritisation & delivery. Robust delivery of projects to support the UK facilities. FMCG / food manufacturing Specific Project Implementation Skills and scoping. Would work very closely with several factory teams to deliver their investment plans Strong project management skills & leadership skills. Proven track record in all phases of projects (Exploration – scoping, Execution – delivery, Evaluation – Handover). Responsible for the delivery of various capital projects throughout the UK ensuring the complexity, cost, time‐constraints are fully understood and managed. Continually monitor progress to ensure meeting of specific KPI’s and deadlines Responsible for ensuring the correct delivery of all stages of projects from development through to post implementation reviews, including, URS creation, tendering and supplier selection, Resource, time and cost management, Control of contractors with CDM, Contract management, FAT, SAT and formal hand back and project closure. Skills & Experience Required Extensive experience in either manufacturing or engineering preferred. Experience delivering engineering projects in project engineering position. Strong Project Management skills. Strong engineering thinking.
