Project Engineer

Alexander Steele is again partnering with a brilliant multi-site food manufacturing business based in Lanarkshire. We are currently assisting the business with recruiting a new Project Engineer position. The salary/package on offer is circa £45,000 - £55,000 + excellent employee benefits. The Role: Manage the capital project process from concept (scope, benefits, justification) to completion to ensure that projects are completed; risks to the business are minimised. Lead project update meetings and monitor progress to ensure meeting specific deadlines and document project status and issues. Manage contracts for Capital Equipment and Project supplies. This position is ideally suited to an experienced project engineer with international project & machinery experience. Coordinate with the group customers to gather information about their annual Projects/ machinery requirements and specifications. Prepare enquiry documents and invite competitive offers from companies globally and evaluate requests based on their technological merits. The Project Engineer will be responsible for Project / Machinery procurement, execution and project management till completion. In addition, visiting and liaising with the key customers, consultants and suppliers. The Candidate: Either served Mechanical Engineer educated to HND level or held a recognised Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Aeronautical Engineering. Experience delivering engineering projects in a project engineering position. Proven capability within an FMCG organisation, including the ability to positively engage at the senior level. Strong Project Management skills. Strong engineering thinking. FMCG processing equipment knowledge and experience are essential.
