Quality Assurance Technologist

Alexander Steele are delighted to be working in partnership for a large Food Manufacturer in the Cambridgeshire area who are keen to add a Quality Assurance professional to their growing organisation. Our client has a new vacancy in their Quality department due to business growth. As the Quality Assurance Technologist, you will report to the Technical Manager and you will support a quality culture and management system to ensure that products manufactured are at the right quality and to the correct specification. This will be a Monday – Friday role and in return our client will offer the successful candidate a starting salary of between £24,000 - £26,000 depending on experience. Our client is looking for an individual with experience of working within the food manufacturing sector, whether that be within chilled, ambient or frozen products, who can clearly provide evidence of delivering positive results The Role: Carry out regular audits within the factory. Test raw materials to ensure compliance with agreed specifications. Investigate any non-conformances Ensure work is carried out in a safe manner in compliance with the company’s Health and Safety Policy Maintain quality records and record trends. Assisting in the Supplier assurance approval program and addressing any non-conformances with suppliers. The Candidate Previous experience working within the food manufacturing sector. Good understanding of BRC food safety standards. Ideally HACCP Level 2 (or above) certificate. Ideally Food Safety Level 2 (or above) certificate.
