The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality management within the organization, ensuring that products, processes, and systems meet established standards of quality, reliability, and performance. This role will lead the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 13485, IATF 16949 as applicable) and customer requirements. The Quality Manager will work closely with production, engineering, supply chain, and service teams to drive defect prevention, problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Quality Strategy & Leadership:
  • Develop and implement quality assurance policies, procedures, and objectives aligned with company goals.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the quality team, including inspectors, technicians, and engineers.
  • Champion a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the organization.

Quality Systems Management:
  • Maintain and improve the company’s Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other applicable quality standards and customer-specific requirements.
  • Lead internal and external audits; coordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Product & Process Quality:
  • Oversee incoming inspection, in-process quality control, and final product inspection/testing.
  • Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics (e.g., defect rates, yield, customer complaints).
  • Implement root cause analysis and problem-solving tools (8D, 5 Why, FMEA, SPC).
  • Collaborate with engineering on product design reviews, validation, and testing requirements.

Supplier Quality Management:
  • Establish and monitor supplier quality performance and incoming material controls.
  • Conduct supplier audits and drive corrective actions for non-conformances.
  • Customer Focus
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer quality issues.
  • Lead customer complaint investigations and resolution.
  • Support new product introductions to ensure customer requirements are met.

Continuous Improvement:
  • Drive initiatives in Lean, Six Sigma, and other quality improvement methodologies.
  • Recommend and implement new tools, processes, and technologies to enhance product quality.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in quality management within manufacturing (electronics and/or mechanical equipment preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and other relevant quality standards (ISO 13485, IATF 16949, AS9100, etc., depending on industry).
  • Demonstrated experience in supplier quality management, auditing, and CAPA.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis, SPC, FMEA, and quality tools.
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, or equivalent certification desirable.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
