Our client, a major supplier of ambient staple ingredients to the UK food industry, including several market leading brands, is looking for a Retail Technologist to join their team. Reporting to and working alongside the Retail Technical Manager, this is a great time to join an established business to manage an existing retail customer account that is continuing to grow, resulting in this opportunity becoming available. The successful individual will be interacting with and managing the customers’ expectations, delivering a technical plan and seasonal, supply chain & quality improvement plans. Supporting the specifications team, this position will ensure raw materials meet the required standards and customer specifications, with dispatched product meeting expectations. Main Responsibilities: • Deal with all customer complaints including preparing customer complaint decks to show performance monthly, passed to the Retail Technical Manager by the 28th of each month for board submission •Visit customers with Commercial/Technical members to run through complaint/performance data. •Assist in maintaining approved supplier due diligence, ensuring the necessary undertakings and certifications are up to date. Supplier approval document rolled out to all relevant departments. •Administrate the writing of the third-party audits. All third-party audits have written/distributed and agreed timelines managed •Attend 100% of internal meetings where required •Assist the Technical Department with special projects when required •Assist with traceability exercises and recall tests •Member of the internal auditing team, carrying out audits as and when required •Prepare quarterly complaint data and updating the PowerPoint presentation to share with customers. •The creation of the raw material specifications against customer specifications •Working closely with other departments to resolve issues to a satisfactory outcome •Monitoring a major retailer account and other online retail customer reviews, documenting the performance and following through the poor reviews , raising the concerns within the departments •Writing and coordinating the corrective action reports raised by QA for non-conforming products •Be involved in New Product Development to provide assistance on Projects where necessary. •Set and maintain retail standards, product quality and customers brand integrity •Successfully manage customers’ expectations, delivering 100% of agreed KPI’s Candidates requirements •Computer Literate •Attention to detail •Previous management of retail customer accounts •Knowledge of Retail Technical Libraries •BRC & Food Labelling knowledge •Capability of learning fast on the job Desirable requirements •Team management ability •Experience in the Food and/or Fresh Produce sectors My client will pay £32,000 plus benefits Interested in this role?
