Sales Manager - HoReCa & Bakery Chains Alexander Steele is recruiting on behalf of a Global Manufacturer of Food ingredients. This client is a world leader in their sector and operates across the full supply chain from the sourcing of raw materials to high quality end products. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sales Manager to join the team and manage specific accounts within the HoReCa & Bakery sector, whilst also managing a small team. Hybrid Working - 1 x per month in the Office min (South UK) Expected travel per week - 2/3 days per week £60k - £65k + Company Car / allowance + Bonus + Strong Benefits What your tasks are: Participate with Senior Management Team in creation of strategy, volume, and profit targets for accounts & team. Manage, motivate and lead the National Account Managers including the IDP & PMDP processes. Focus on growing and developing existing customers, together with generating new business (eg introduction of new products, focussing on value added products) Understand customer market, capability & position to create JBPs that drive growth across the product range. Develop positive working relationships with key stakeholders within the customer including sales, buying, technical, NPD & Supply Chain. Provide reports on customer and competitor activity, taking responsibility to share / take action where necessary. Arrange and manage quarterly business reviews with key customers. Co-ordinate trade marketing activities for your key customers. Contract Management: ensure timely administration of contract bookings and payments including formal follow up with appropriate parties eg customer / pricing officer / credit control. What are we looking for: You have relevant professional experience in the sales of Food Ingredients or educated at degree level within Food Science. Presentation Skills - Outstanding presentation, verbal & written skills. Strong leadership skills Great at building relationships Ability to analyse and manipulate data with strong computer literacy across Google, MS (Excel predominantly), SAP & Salesforce applications. Experience of analysing market information and forecasting sales opportunities. 5+ years of proven sales growth, preferably from the Food Industry.
