Senior Key Account Manager - Ingredient Solutions Alexander Steele is recruiting on behalf of a Global producer of innovative food solutions. Our client is a leader in their field and this is a fantastic opportunity to join a global manufacturer of innovative ingredients. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a positive & motivated individual to join our client as a Senior Key Account Manager. The role focusses on two areas: Leading & Executing a sales strategy & developing profitable sales / creating long term customer partnerships. Home based - Ideally situated somewhere between Leeds & London £50-60k + Bonus (10%) + Benefits (incl healthcare) What will you do? Leadership Project leadership for critical business activities (NPD, EPD) directing relevant R&D colleagues & supporting Sales Director. Monitor results on a monthly basis and implement corrective action to ensure achievement of budgeted targets Ad Hoc project leadership as needed to achieve strategic priorities Commercial Management Accountability for delivering budgeted sales in volume, turnover, gross margin (£) & (%) To develop and execute a clear strategy for the industrial channel ensuring full stakeholder alignment with the UK team. Business Units & Large accounts division Develop senior level relationships with key customer & industry bodies Integrate the relevant customer service team members into the commercial function ensuring both strong relationships with the operations function AND putting the customer at the centre of all activities Lead team & manage critical projects to ensure the business (NPD, EPD) is well managed Strong collaboration with the BUs to ensure alignment with key product & category priorities Strong collaboration with the channels division to ensure alignment with Global Account priorities Embrace digital tools including CRM platform to enable transparency and measurement of KPIs (product launches, events etc) Key Skills / Competencies: Proven experience of team & people management driven by high standards and strong ethics Proven track record of sales within food business (experience of retail & OR large account management) Superlative negotiation skills & proven commercial acumen Ability to network at board level both internally & externally If you would like to find out more about this great opportunity, please apply with your most recent CV or contact me: sam.gilmour@alexandersteele.com or call Sam Gilmour on 07391 890 653
