Alexander Steele is working in partnership with an innovative food manufacturing business who are passionate about their products, customers and their employees. An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen in the business for a Senior New Product Development Technologist to join them on site in Dublin. The business works with the major multiples, foodservice & convenience customers with both branded & private label product. This is a very hands-on role in and out of the kitchen. As the Senior NPD Technologist, you will co-ordinate the day-to-day Projects within the New Product Development Department and influence business direction. It is a fast-paced environment where you will quickly see your creations on the customers shelf! On offer: • Salary is €45,000 - €50,000 depending on experience • Additional company benefits. Main Duties & Responsibilities include: • Ensure all new products are developed in line with product briefs. • Engaging with customers re NPD plans & next steps • Take ownership of the NPD process and align key customer requirements to Internal processes for a seamless launch. • Ensure compliance and communication is effective at every stage both internally & externally • Delivering NPD within commercial targets • Have a strong awareness of consumer trends, working closely with our accounts team to improve customer insight • Work closely with NPD Manager to achieve an innovation pipeline specific accounts • Presenting NPD and EPD to customers and internal stakeholders The candidate: • A minimum of 3 years’ previous experience in a similar role is essential. • Third Level Qualification in Culinary Arts/Food Innovation would be beneficial but not essential • Experience dealing with the major retailer’s, their NPD process and ideally an existing relationship with their food teams / buyers • A real “foodie” who is passionate about food, ingredients and innovative food concepts • Will convey knowledge, passion and confidence when talking about food to colleagues and customers If this sounds like the right role for you please apply!
