Shift Engineer

We are supporting a fantastic food manufacturing business as they are looking to appoint a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer for their site based in Aberdeenshire. Commutable from Aberdeen, Stonehaven, and Dundee. You will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of manufacturing equipment. As a Shift Engineer you will be able to identify and rectify faults both Mechanically and Electrically along with ensuring planned maintenance work is completed within specified timescales. Duties: •Always work safely in accordance with company Health & Safety policies, procedures, practices, and legislation. •Fault find and resolve technical/process issues. •Resolve breakdown issues with minimal impact to production. •Complete all maintenance activities on time as planned. •Adopt an Audit ready approach and maintain engineering systems and documentation to BRC standards. •The installation of new plant and services and to be involved in plant alterations. •Communicate effectively within and across departments using escalation procedures to manage issues and priorities. •The maintenance of all factory equipment and plant including maintenance of all property, equipment, and plant. •To utilise spare parts efficiently & to assist in identifying and maintaining adequate stocks of spare parts. •To carry out any reasonable duties as requested by Engineering Management. •To maintain electronic plant maintenance records and all associated engineering documentation as required. •To log all PPM and Breakdowns within the site CMMS system (IFS) Experience required. •Ideally have experience in both mechanical and electrical engineering. •Would also consider someone who is electrically or mechanically bias as training can be provided. •Manufacturing knowledge and experience •A proactive approach •Ability to work independently and identify areas that need preventive maintenance. •A flexible attitude to working.
