Job Title: Shift Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)
Salary: £49,795 + incredible extra earning potential through overtime.
Shift: 4 on 4 off days and nights (6-6)
Reporting to: Senior Engineer/Maintenance Manager
Core Purpose:
The maintenance, repair and improvement of plant and equipment to provide a reliable and safe operation whilst complying with H&S, legal and quality requirements.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
§ Breakdown cover as required.
§ Maintenance of plant and equipment by use of CMMS system.
§ Improvement of plant performance by involvement in internal projects.
§ Work with Senior Engineer to identify areas of improvement to improve plant performance.
§ Ensuring all equipment complies with current safety / legal requirements
§ Maintaining accurate plant maintenance records via the CMMS system.
§ Work in a safe manor and comply with safety requirements.
§ Plus any other duties which may be assigned in line with business requirements.
§ Identify parts required and ensure stock levels are maintained.
§ Employ a clean as you go attitude.
§ Risk assess all tasks and ensure that work is performed safely not endangering yourself or others.
§ Undertake training offered that would benefit both you and the company.
§ Work within procedures laid down by the company.
§ Comply with fire duties as laid down in company procedure.
§ Plus any other duties which may be assigned in line with business requirements.
Main Job Requirements:
Education / Certifications:
§ Time served engineer
§ 17th edition electrical (preferred)
Job Related Experience/Skills
§ PLC knowledge
§ FMCG background
§ Computer literate
Knowledge skills & Abilities:
§ Logical thinking / fault finding
§ Work within a small team or alone when required.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort: (adapt as required for position)
§ Work involves light exposure to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, fumes extreme temperatures, humidity, darkness and / or noise.
§ Work environment involves exposure to physical risks, such as working at heights, around mechanical, chemical and electrical hazards.
§ Light physical effort is required such as standing, sitting, walking around, reaching, climbing and kneeling as needed: utilising fine dexterity, the ability to see, hear and communicate with colleagues as well as others by utilising professional etiquette.
§ Personal protective equipment, as defined, will be provided.
