Technical Account Manager - Functional Ingredients
Alexander Steele is recruiting on behalf of a global Ingredients manufacturer. Our client is a leader in their field and this is a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative & sustainable business.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a positive & motivated individual to join the Food Ingredient division. As a Technical Sales Manager, you will use your knowledge and commercial qualities to generate sales with current & new relationships predominantly across the Cheese / Dairy Industry.
Hybrid Working - 4 times per month in the Office (West Yorkshire)
£35-45k + 20% Bonus + Benefits (Car Package TBC)
Tasks & Responsibilities
Maintaining existing relationships and actively developing new contacts.
Advising customers on the application of the range and development.
Maintaining commercial contacts with principals and a role as principal manager for some of these.
Keep abreast of developments in the food industry
Representing the business in commercial activities including trade fairs
Document all customer activity through detailed customer visit reports
Complete all actions in line with agreed plan
Ensure all new sales agreements are completed accurately and on time
Key Skills / Competencies:
You have at least a bachelor's degree or equivalent within the focus area of Nutrition.
You have ingredient knowledge and a sense of commercial activities within industrial sales, preferably in a B2B sales position in the sale of ingredients. Experience as a buyer or trader within the B2B market is also possible.
You have Strong business acumen and experience to develop and grow the new business including onboarding of new suppliers and expansion of product portfolio.
You are familiar with CRM systems (JDE Oracle for SOP requirements)
You have a good command of the English language both orally and in writing at a professional level.
You can work systematically.
You have good communication skills to be able to make good contacts within various disciplines such as Purchasing, R&D, Customer Sales, and Marketing.
Knowledge of an NPD environment
