Are you a QA with internal auditing experience that would like to make the move into technical? Or a recent graduate in a food and/or science related degree with a year in industry? If so, we may have the ideal job for you!! Alexander Steele is delighted to be working with a long-standing client within the food manufacturing industry as they are looking to appoint a Technical Audit Support Officer to their team in Leeds. You must have experience and/or knowledge of allergen validation, management of schedules, good understanding of root cause analysis and preventative action. Other key areas are knowledge of the BRC standard, report writing (allergen validation reports and internal audit reports) lab result interpretation and pest control. The role Is both factory based for allergen validation exercises and physical observations during an internal audit and desk based for audit/allergen report type ups Responsibilities: •Conducting structured GMP/Hygiene/Compliance/HACCP audits of process & packing operations •Scheduling and allocation of the sites internal audit program and ongoing maintenance of the site internal audit schedule •Issue of Non-Conformance Reports and management of the associated database, ensuring that NCR corrective actions are completed in a timely manner and are verified for effectiveness. •Conducting audits in line with the internal audit schedule. •Maintenance of the site allergen and vegan validation and verification schedules You: •Recent graduate with 1 year industry placement or a QA with a minimum of years’ experience within the food industry •Knowledge of allergen validation •Ideally would have HACCP level 3 and Food safety level 3 though is not essential •Knowledge of the BRC standard •Previous experience in dealing with customers is desirable •Must be computer literate On Offer: •£24,500 •Monday – Friday •8am – 4pm •33 days annual leave •Pension •Genuine progression opportunities within a large technical team If you are interested in hearing more about it this position, please apply with your most recent CV or contact Iain Shanley on 0131 370 9191 for more information about the role.
