Alexander Steele we are working in partnership with a large, established, chilled food manufacturing business in South East London. Our client has asked us to assist with the hiring of a Technical Manager to join their team. This a fantastic opportunity to join a business who offer a long term career with excellent development and support. On Offer: • A Salary of £50,000 to £55,000 depending on experience • Working Monday to Fridays days • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays The role: Reporting to the Head of Technical, the main purpose of this role is to ensure the Quality, Safety and Legality of the products by working closely with stakeholders across the business. The Technical Manager will be responsible for implementing and managing QMS, supporting the Quality Management function and ensuring effective management of customer due diligence. • Working with the Head of Technical on all 3rd party visits, audits including BRC and customer communications including the on boarding of new and the maintenance of existing customers and suppliers. • Ensure HACCP is adhered to across the business • Management of the Due diligence system • Ensuring the company is kept up to date on changes in legislation, customer standards or industry practice to ensure that food safety and hygiene is always adhered to. The Candidate: • A minimum of 3 years in a Technical or Quality Management position with customer and supplier facing experience • A Food Science degree is desirable. • HACCP Level 3 • Lead Auditor or equivalent experience • Experience working with UK Retailers in a Technical / Quality capacity If you are an experienced Technical Manager or an excellent Quality Manager looking to step up this could be the role for you.
