Alexander Steele Recruitment is working in partnership with one of Europe's largest food processing businesses. A vacancy has arisen for a Site Technical Manager to join the business at their site in Bedfordshire. The role:Reporting to the Group Technical Manager, The Technical Manager will have responsibility for ensuring customer satisfaction, managing relationships with certification bodies, and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements. Key accountabilities include; • Reporting on KPIs and site compliance. • Validating root cause analyses and overseeing effective corrective and preventative actions in response to NCs • Collaborating with the FSA and other enforcement authority representatives when necessary to ensure the smooth operation of the business. • Building on exceptional customer relationships and ensuring management of all requests, queries, and complaints. • Management and maintaining the QMS and Food Safety Systems. • Regularly reviewing and reporting on cost-effectiveness, identifying cost efficiencies without compromising product safety, quality, or legality. • Developing and improving company policies, systems, and procedures. • Ensuring that staff receive relevant training Candidate requirements: • Degree educated - Science based degree or equivalent training and experience. • At least 3 years experience working in a similar role within food manufacturing or food processing • Strong people and stakeholder management experience - Ideally working with UK retailers. • HACCP level 3 + • Lead auditor with sound BRC experience.
