Graduate Technologist

Here at Alexander Steele we are delighted to continue working with a leading manufacturer with a passion for its people and sustainability. Our client has exciting opportunity for a Food Science / Technology Graduate to join their team at their site in Bedfordshire. The successful application will join the team and report directly to the Technical Manager providing technical support and service to the team which includes the following departments: Technical, NPD, Commercial, Procurement, Operations and supply chain. Responsibilities of the role: (You do not need to have experience with these points) •Undertake routine analysis and provide reports to determine KPI performance. •Use QMS data to monitor and review performance advising on and undertaking where appropriate action and implementation of product and process improvement. •Produce weekly complaints reports and recommendations. •Produce photographic specifications and construct Quality Contracts. •Update and maintain raw material photo library. •Gather Ethical and due diligence information as required and upload accordingly. •Deal with routine customer queries and information requests •Ensure customer specifications are accurate and up to date. •Provide support to the customer account team, Technical Controller, Technical Managers and commercial teams to determine technical vision and input into the Customer Business Plan. •Participate in assigned projects and deliver results in given timeframes. •Develop an understanding of the business and product portfolio. •Technical data entry into internal and external documents. •Develop a direct and positive relationship with Customers and the business team including, Technical, Commercial, NPD, Packaging, Operations teams & functional colleagues. •Provide support and cover for other members of the company’s technical team. Our client is looking for someone with the following: •A minimum of 1 years experience working withing a Technical team in either a food or horticultural environment •Experience working with customers, preferably retailers within a Technical team •A food or science degree would be desirable •Some who enjoys evaluating data and thrives on being busy. •Can make decisions quickly and ensures working is followed through until tasks are complete. •An organised individual who can be structured, pro-active and be able to prioritise tasks. •You must have excellent communication skills This is a Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm role and our client is looking to pay the candidate £33,000 - £35,000 plus benefits.
