An FMCG business based in Worcestershire are looking to bring on an experienced Warehouse Manager You will be responsible for organising the Raw Materials and Despatch warehouses making the best and most efficient use of space, managing the day-to-day activities of the warehouse. Duties • Optimise warehouse layout, product flow and processes to ensure efficient space utilisation, ease of access, and timely fulfilment of pallets to the required area of the site. • Responsible for inventory accuracy to include implementing and maintaining effective stock control procedures, performing regular cycle counts and investigate discrepancies. • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOP’s) to ensure consistent and systematic execution of warehouse activities. • Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained in both the warehouse and the yard areas to ensure a safe environment with minimal hazards. This includes racking inspections and full control of site MHE. • Control of vehicles and people movements in both yards to ensure vehicle turnaround is maximised. This includes control of all inbound delivery schedules and carrier control whilst on site. • Supervision and direct line management of warehouse staff, including scheduling, training, performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as required. Job holder should be able to inspire team to become multi-skilled and cross functional with a strong positive attitude. • Collaborate with cross-functional departments, such as materials, blending, production and stock control, to resolve operational issues. • Utilise meaningful KPI’s and other performance metrics to monitor and drive continuous improvement in dept productivity, accuracy, and overall performance. This will also include full participation in the ongoing site CI program. • Maintain a safe and secure environment, ensuring compliance with company policies, H&S and legal requirements, as well as supporting site H&S team with training and guidance on best practices and safety standards. • Manage and maintain all WMS system accuracy, as well as working on future developments of IT systems.
