Business Development Executive Location: North Yorkshire Package: •Up to £40,000 + Bonus An exciting opportunity for a Business Development Executive to join a leading food producer to cover their Wholesale and Food Service customers. This role offers great opportunities for future progression within a growing family run business. Key Responsibilities •To identify and follow up on all new business opportunities, whether this be new customers or new products, ensuring that new / additional revenue is brought to the business on an annual basis. •To meet sales, profit, and budgets, across designated accounts. •To fully support the Head of Sales in the preparation of materials for all business meetings whether internal or external •To maintain excellent communication links with all key accounts •To be fully knowledgeable about all products and services offered by the business. •To fully understand the strategy and market position of customers. •To identify and report on new product launches, new packaging formats and any promotional/pricing initiatives witnessed in trade. •Undertake commercial negotiations including price, promotion, and NPD. •Liaise with our customers on a regular basis to develop & build strong relationships. •Understand customers trading strategies & forecasting. •Develop and maintain a customer database keeping it up to date and accurate containing precise information relating to each account. •Work with NPD to develop bespoke products for customers when required. •Work with Technical to ensure all customer technical requirements are met.
