Business Development Manager Alexander Steele is recruiting on behalf of a Food & Snack manufacturer producing healthier products using natural ingredients. This company also deals in commodity ingredients. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Manager to join the team with responsibility for Clients operating within the Retail & B2B Manufacturing sector. You will present the full range of products and services to current & potential clients in this role. Remote Working - 3-4 days per week in trade. Candidates located across the Midlands / South UK will be ideally situated. £45-55k + Bonus + Benefits What your tasks are: • Present and sell the full range of the Groups products and services to current and potential clients in a timely and efficient manner. • Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project manage the number of contacts to be made. • Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity. • Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned • Prepare presentations, proposals (liaising with Finance on Costings) and sales • contracts • Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge • Establish and maintain current and potential client relationships • Prepare paperwork to activate and maintain contracts and services • Manage accounts through monitoring of Contract Call offs and Balances ensuring customer is kept informed and adhering to contract time periods • Identify and resolve quickly any customer concerns and queries • Prepare a variety of status reports including weekly sales activity, weekly visit reports, contract closures, follow up and adherence to budget and goals set ensuring future activity is logged in the Weekly Sales Visit form. • All reports to be completed and submitted by 3pm each Friday. • Communicate new product opportunities and services, special developments, information or feedback gathered through your field and telephone conversations to appropriate departments and members of staff. • Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales. • Develop and implement special sales activities to reduce stock. Requirements: • Minimum 5 Year’s Sales experience • Knowledge of UK Manufacturing industry. • Good knowledge of MS Office Products & remote IT equipment. • Ability to travel (Overnight as required). • Flexible & adaptable to change. • Team player, able to develop excellent internal and external relationships. • Excellent communication skills, both written & orally.
