Customer Development Manager - UK Ingredients Alexander Steele is recruiting on behalf of a Global supplier of Ingredients. This client is a world leader in their sector and supplies Food, Beverage, Sports Nutrition, Dairy & Confectionery manufacturers. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Customer Development Manager to join the team and manage specific accounts within the B2B manufactruing sector with a focus on chemical ingredients. Hybrid Working - 1 x per month in the Office min (Derbyshire) £48k - £60k + Company Car / allowance + Bonus + Strong Benefits • Maintaining existing customers and expand our portfolio within their supply chain; at the same time offer value added solutions and uncover new opportunities • By winning new customers, offering products from our wide product portfolio, identify added value solutions to grow both volume and profit • Monitor market developments and trends with customers to add new lines to our product portfolio • Ultimately become the ‘go to’ solution provider and partner for all our customers Market knowledge in Solvents, Rubber and Adhesives would be advantageous to be a successful candidate. Job Responsibilities: • Growing sales, profit and volume by identifying and winning new business • Promoting chemical products from our range including Solvents, Adhesives, Rubber, Plastics, Coatings, Water treatment • Accountable for Sales Revenue and Material Margin for selected existing customers • Set strategies and targets for long-term growth of top customers. • Responsible for prices and quotation for own customer pool. • Ensure the promotion and sales of the whole product portfolio offers (build a balanced portfolio of initiatives) • Ownership of customers for selected accounts incl. lead generation, initial customer contact and customer visits (face to face / TEAMS), contract management (incl. negotiations and quotations) and deal closure • Responsible for elaborating and following of account planning for key customers (e.g., A1) • Plan and forecast segment sales in joint meetings with marketing, share information with supply chain • Gain and analyze complete market insight, indicators and trends of the assigned market segment and its (potential) customers • Maintain a healthy opportunity pipeline to achieve year on year growth and achieve our strategic plan.
