Maintenance Supervisor

Alexander Steele is working in partnership with this wonderful food manufacturer based in North Scotland. They are currently looking to recruit a permanent Engineering Supervisor working Days. 4on 4off Reporting directly and working closely with the Maintenance Manager is a crucial member of the maintenance department. You will provide technical expertise and supervision in electrical engineering and process control for the site and manage electrical maintenance activities under the maintenance management system, driven by plant inspection. Provide technical assessment and action plans for collected monitoring data to improve the electrical reliability of the plant continuously. The salary for the role is circa £45,000 per annum + KPI Bonus. The Role Meet operational maintenance standards by contributing to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards, resolving problems and minimising production downtime Intervene on any line/production deterioration in performance; complete root cause analysis and implement corrective actions Assist the Manager with maintaining function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by implementing and maintaining a preventive and predictive maintenance program; operating and testing systems and equipment; restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts. Contribute to adequate departmental budget and cost management by monitoring expenditures, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following relevant food, health and safety standards and procedures, complying with legal codes and regulations. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical publications. The Candidate Suitable Electrical and/or Mechanical Qualification essential Level 6 qualification in Engineering/relevant trade Experience and knowledge in FMCG is essential Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, PLC control, refrigeration and PTW systems desirable Strong diagnostic/root cause analysis skills essential Ability to work in a production-driven environment, multitask and work under own initiative to deliver to deadlines Relationship builder with solid influencing skills If you are interested in applying for this vacancy, please contact Clarke Smith to send a copy of your most recent CV
