National Account Manager Convenience & Out of Home Alexander Steele has partnered with an award wining high growth food manufacturing business. They have a fantastic range of innovative branded products. They supply major retailers, OOH, and International markets. This role will execute the OOH strategy within Convenience and Foodservice, through a combination of key account management and end-user/multi-site operator engagement. This role will report into the Head of Out of Home Business Unit. We are looking for a strong relationship builder, with a proven track record of delivering growth within the UK Convenience & Impulse channels. Ideally operating at a NAM level, the candidate would be looking for a role to challenge them with true ownership & accountability. RESPONSIBILITIES: NAM: FS KA & Convenience End Users This role is responsible for growing our business across a portfolio of UK Convenience & Foodservice and key end-users and multi-site operators. Roles and responsibilities include: Full accountability for delivering against a Best-in-Class Convenience and Wholesale strategy. P&L responsibility for key accounts: Co-op Societies, SPAR, Creed, DDC, Wholesale C&C (Dhamecha, Parfetts) and key end-users CH&Co and Baxter Storey. Ownership of all the internal processes in relation to these customers. Driving new business, by supporting both the Conv. & FS Controller and Head of OOH in opening up new customers. Activating the brand in the OOH channel with BIC feature and display in retail but also at trade and sampling events, working closely with the marketing team to create a strong suite of assets that brings the brand to life. Best in class day to day account management. Build strong multifunctional relationships with Category Management, Marketing, Product Development, Shopper Marketing, Operations and Finance Ensure operational discipline behind Forecasting, Promotional Planning and Financial Management of the accounts. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS: Min. 3 years relevant experience in UK retail market working with Convenience/Co-op/FS A strong commercial mindset with a retailer/shopper first approach Comfortable working in a fast-moving SME, thriving under pace Team player with excellent communication skills, both internally and externally Strong P&L understanding, data and analytical skills, with confident use of Excel Highly organised with ability to prioritise their workload effectively Experience of branded fresh, chilled, or dairy categories, desired, but not essential Location: Travel to London office weekly, and travel to customers Up to £60k + bonus + benefits If you are interested in hearing more about it this position, please contact Greg at greg.carroll@alexandersteele.com By applying for this role, you are agreeing to be registered with us in accordance to our T&C’s/Privacy Policy.
