National Account Manager - Major Retail Home/Hybrid Up to 70,000 euros Car or allow 10% bonus Benefits Alexander Steele are working with a successful European Food Group. The business manufacturers award winning private label foods for market leading retailers and food service establishments. The business is doing very well and they are looking to expand their commercial with a National Account Manager. Purpose: • Responsible for managing retail customer set with a full on-going understanding of the sector, customers and consumers operating within it. • Development and implementation of sales strategies to ensure budgeted sales and targets are achieved for the account portfolio • Identify new profitable business within target market sectors and current business • Organise, manage and monitor promotional activity to support specific sales strategies • Manage NPD activity within customer base • Link to Channel Development Managers developing projects, presentations, NPD etc. • Ad hoc projects and other duties as may be required from time to time as directed by the Country Manager • Ensure that CSR policies are presented/understood & shared with customer base Main Responsibilities: • To propose, agree and effectively manage the sales budget and promotional spends in support of identified sales strategies within account base • To proactively manage specific customers in order to optimise net sales and gross margin. • To accurately forecast and report on customer sales on an on-going basis and develop and implement suitable remedial action plans where a risk to sales is forecast. • Critically evaluate company product range within customers to ensure gross margin in maximised. • Identify and secure new profitable business opportunities within customers. • Complete a monthly report detailing performance and key actions for the month ahead • Ensure specific customer account plans are created and developed and maintained with the customer • Analyse results of all promotional activity to evaluate most effective mechanics to support business objectives. • Identify opportunities and prepare specific briefs for NPD/current product improvements to enhance net sales and gross margin. • Communicate with internal departments on customers and their sales strategies, promotional and NPD activities in a timely manner to ensure all business requirements are met. • Manage & maintain proactive and collaborative customer relationships
