National Account Manager - Cash & Carry / Convenience retail Alexander Steele is recruiting on behalf of an exciting Food & Drinks manufacturer located in the North West of England. Our client produces a wide variety of dried powder products both private & own label. The client operates across retail, food service, whole sale, C &C as well as direct to consumer. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Sales team as a National Account Manager - with a focus on Convenience Retail and Cash & Carry. In this role it will be your personal responsibility to manage a selection of existing accounts whilst rolling out an existing, new business strategy. Home Based - National travel to customers & to the office based in North West for business reasons £40 - 46k + bonus + car allowance + benefits Responsibilities • To deliver the sales agenda across the Cash & Carry customer base which encompasses the likes of Booker, Bestway, Demecha etc • To be a leading voice for our Cash & Carry and Convenience Retail customers internally. • Supporting the Head of Wholesale and working cross functionally with the wider team to help build and deliver a sustainable, customer focused strategy. • The National Account Manager will develop JDP and promotional activity using your budgets to develop profitable business. • 70% Managing existing accounts, 30% New Business Managing People • Managing People To effectively manage all individual relationships with all departments within the business to raise the profile and further develop the C&C Sector. • Build close, lasting professional relationships with all personnel in relevant departments: • All Sales Team members , Project/Packaging team, Customer Services, Marketing, NPD Purchasing In-depth knowledge and understanding of the Cash & Carry sector, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
