National Account Manager - Major Retailers UK Alexander Steele are delighted to be in partnership with a leading European Food Group. The group supply major retailers with high quality branded and private label food products. They currently have a vacancy for a National Account Manager position, with a specific focus on retailers. The role provides the opportunity to take full P&L responsibility for major retailers and is a great opportunity for someone looking to progress in their career in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Account Management · Cultivate and sustain robust partnerships with key national retail accounts. · Coordinate closely with internal teams to ensure the seamless execution of account strategies. · Evaluate sales performance data to pinpoint opportunities and tackle challenges effectively. Strategic Planning · Formulate and execute strategic account plans to meet sales and profitability objectives. · Identify avenues for growth within current accounts and explore new business opportunities. · Stay abreast of market trends, competitor actions, and consumer trends. · Negotiation and Contract Management · Engage in negotiations to secure mutually beneficial terms and agreements with key accounts. · Oversee contract renewals, pricing discussions, and promotional initiatives. Forecasting and Reporting · Develop precise sales forecasts and provide regular updates on performance against set targets. · Analyse market dynamics to offer insights guiding strategic decision-making processes. ·Cross-Functional Collaboration · Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure alignment with overarching business goals. · Provide training and assistance to the sales team as necessary. Ideal Candidate: · Holds a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. · Demonstrates a track record as a National Account Executive or Manager within the FMCG industry. · Possesses strong analytical acumen and problem-solving abilities. · Exhibits excellent negotiation skills and effective communication abilities. · Capable of nurturing and managing relationships with key stakeholders. · Goal-oriented with a commitment to achieving sales objectives. · Familiar with market trends and competitor landscapes.
