Alexander Steele Ltd is delighted to be working in partnership with a large, multi-site, Consumer Goods business who are currently looking to recruit a Procurement Manager to be responsible for their Indirect spend. This will be a key role within the organisation, responsible for managing and optimising the procurement of goods and services that are not directly used in the production of the company's primary products or services. The Indirect Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement of non-production-related goods and services to ensure cost-effectiveness, supplier quality, and compliance with company policies and regulations. This role involves strategic planning, supplier relationship management, cost analysis, and process improvement. On Offer £60,000 - £65,000 33 days holiday Pension. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement an overall indirect procurement strategy aligned with the organisation's objectives. Collaborate with other departments to understand their procurement needs and requirements. Identify cost-saving opportunities and potential areas for process improvement. Evaluate, select, and manage suppliers for indirect goods and services. Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers. Monitor supplier performance, ensuring on-time delivery and quality of products or services. Maintain strong and positive supplier relationships. Implement cost-effective procurement strategies, such as bulk purchasing or supplier consolidation. Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards. Generate and present reports on procurement performance, cost savings, and key performance indicators. The Candidate Over 5 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on indirect goods and services. Experience working within the Consumer Goods / FMCG sector would be advantageous. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain vendor relationships. Knowledge of procurement laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
