Alexander Steele Recruitment are currently working in partnership with a large food manufacturing company based in Lanarkshire. We are currently assisting them with the recruitment of a Production Shift Manager. An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Production Manager, developing and managing a team of operatives. Also, to consistently deliver a high-quality product, efficiently and cost-effectively and a safe and hygienic environment. You will be responsible for the smooth running of the Production area whilst on shift The role will be working 5 out of 7 days and is paying circa £35,000 -£40,000 The Role: To ensure defined production standards are met. Ensure customer service levels & KPI’s are consistently achieved. Ensure all hazards are identified, the risks assessed, and all control measures implement and maintained. Lead, develop, inspire and motivate the team to attain performance improvement and drive and upward improvement in the skills and performance of all direct reports. Collaborate with other departments, ensuring identify quality issues and preventative measures in place. Maintaining compliance against internal and customer audit requirements. Maintain work areas following manufacturing standards of hygiene. The Candidate: Management experience of the Production staff FMCG experience is essential. Preferably food manufacturing Competent knowledge in Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques Ability to get the buy-in of people on-site to implement improvements Preparing and supporting the business audit by major retailers and driving improvements
