Alexander Steele is delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing food manufacturing business in the Glasgow area. Our client is known for their commitment to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction, supplying high-quality products to leading retailers and foodservice providers across the UK.We are supporting them in their search for a Production Planner to join their supply chain team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with planning experience in FMCG or food manufacturing who wants to join a collaborative and dynamic business.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production plans in line with demand forecasts and customer orders.

Liaise closely with operations, procurement, and warehouse teams to ensure the effective flow of materials and finished goods.

Monitor capacity and production constraints, adjusting plans where necessary to meet service levels and efficiency targets.

Utilise ERP/MRP systems to manage planning data accurately.

Support continuous improvement initiatives within the planning and scheduling processes.

Communicate effectively with internal teams to address any potential delays or issues with production.

Report on planning KPIs and support the supply chain manager with data and analysis.Ideal Candidate Profile:

Experience in a Production Planning or Scheduling role within food manufacturing or FMCG.

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, inventory management, and supply chain coordination.

Proficient with ERP/MRP systems (e.g. SAP, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics).
-
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Able to work well under pressure and manage changing priorities.
