Alexander Steele Recruitment are currently working in partnership with a large food manufacturing company based in Lanarkshire. We are currently assisting them with the recruitment of a Production Shift Supervisor An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Production Supervisor, this role is for someone who takes enjoyment in taking the lead on problem solving and working to production KPI's. The Role Support the Production Manager to ensure production plan are achieved within the agreed timeframe Manage and motivate a team of machine controllers and operative Monitor performance, review training needs, manage attendance (absence/holiday daily, carry out annual appraisals. Review operation efficiencies ensuring tracking and reporting of downtime and assist the development of action-based solutions to reduce such occurrences. Ensure that the Operations team conform to all business Technical standards and specifications, as laid out in the HACCP Quality Manual. Ensure that the Operations team conform to Health & Safety legislation, all business policies and standards, initiating any required action so that the site is healthy and safe and free from accidents. Support the Production Manager to ensure all documentation is completed accurately Effectively communicate with departments to ensure efficient workflow Monitor stock levels ensuring traceability is adhered to. The Candidate Experience of supervision in an FMCG environment essential. Strong leadership and staff management skills essential H&S/Food Safety systems & legislation (eg IOSH); Able to ensure a safe working environment. Able to ensure manufacturing meets required quality standards.
