We’re currently working with a well-established food manufacturer that is looking to strengthen its Technical & Quality team with the appointment of a Quality Auditor.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring products meet the highest standards while working closely with production and other departments to maintain compliance across the site.
On offer
- Salary is £32,000 - £37,500 depending on experience

The Role
As Quality Auditor, you will support the Technical team by monitoring food safety and quality standards across production, ensuring products meet both internal and customer specifications.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out product quality checks, including measurements, visual inspections and sensory assessments
- Supporting the positive release process for finished products
- Conducting internal audits across GMP, hygiene, allergen and traceability systems.
- Investigating non-conformances, complaints and quality issues, identifying root causes and corrective actions
- Monitoring production paperwork and food safety records including CCP and OPRP checks
- Carrying out technical testing such as pH testing, ATP swabs and microbiological sampling
- Supporting product trials and development projects
- Working closely with production teams to drive quality improvements
- Producing quality reports and analysing technical data
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment and takes pride in maintaining high quality standards.
Key requirements include:
- Experience in a similar role within food manufacturing
- Good understanding of BRC, GMP and food safety standards
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues across departments
- Good IT skills (Excel, Word, reporting)
- A Food Science degree or similar qualification would be beneficial but is not essential.
