Restaurant Manager- Edinburgh. The restaurant brand was founded in the UK and has restaurants across the UK. I am working in partnership with the restaurant to recruit Restaurant Manager for their Edinburgh Restaurant. They are one of the UK's fastest-growing companies with an fantastic reputation and performance history. You will report into the General Manager. This role is offering a total package around £40,000. Objectives: — The primary role is to ensure the day to day running of the Restaurant. — Achieve and exceed agreed targets of profit, revenue and customer satisfaction through the effective management of the restaurant operation. — To maintain the highest standards of quality regarding service delivery through effective management, employee assessment and continuous training in line with service standards. Team — Recruit, train and regularly review performance of the team, ensuring all staff are fully trained in all systems to ensure that revenue potential is maximised and service delivery consistently excels guest expectations. — Ensure your team understand the importance of attention to detail and service standards — Monitor the performance of all team members making sure they work to the standards set by the Company at all times. — Develop a close working relationship with all departments, colleagues and managers to ensure all guest expectations are met. — Assist other departments of the restaurant wherever possible and to understand the flexibility required when business levels fluctuate, to deliver the best possible service. — Work with the Head Chef and General Manager to increase average spends per head by implementing appropriate training and briefings. Brand/ Products — Familiar with the restaurant and concepts and promote it to the team and our guests. — Be aware of all promotions relating to the restaurant and company and make suggestions where necessary. — Know recipe specs for both food and drink and ensure that the team are consistently working to deliver the standards set. — Regularly monitor the quality and taste of the product, address and rectify any issues concerning quality and/ or presentation. — Ensure all food menus, wine and drinks lists are up to date, clean and presentable for each service. — Understand the importance of the correct music, lighting, temperature and cleanliness, to ensure the right ambience is maintained at all times and reflects the time of day and demands of the business. — Keep on top of current trends and suggest new ideas to the General Manager which can improve our performance and competitive advantage. Finance — Running incentives for the restaurant team. Weekly and daily incentives to be run in order to increase sales, improve feedback, improve guest loyalty and increase team morale. The incentives should be realistic and achievable and current with the times. — Ensure all Restaurant purchases are met with budgetary constraints. — Ensure that billing and control of revenues are maintained at all times. — Responsibility for restaurant rota and ensuring service is appropriately manned at all times in line with budgets, utilising salaried staff to a maximum potential. — Monitor stock movements to ensure stock security. — Report all maintenance faults, losses, and breakages to the Senior management team on duty. — Understand the cost and profit targets for the restaurant ensuring fixed and variable costs are effectively managed. There are other duties in relation to guests & guest experiences, compliance, and others which can be discussed further. My client are ideally looking for an experienced restaurant manager or a candidate looking to step up to this level who has experience in a high-end national restaurant brand and is keen to put their own mark on the role, is a team player (as this restaurant has a great, close-knit team) and is ambitious to grow their career with the restaurant.
