Senior Account Manager - Grocery
Alexander Steele is recruiting on behalf of a well-known Food & Beverage manufacturer supplying the UK's Retail channels. Our client is one of the fastest growing brands in their sector.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team as a Senior Account Manager looking after major grocery accounts. This role will lead on 4 of the biggest customers and report directly into the Head of Sales.
Hybrid Working - 2 / 3 x per week in the Office (London Area)
• £65k - £80k Dependant on experience + Bonus + Benefits
What your tasks are:
• Launching NPD into new categories. Working closely with product, category & brand teams to build insight-led proposals.
• Identifying & realising opportunities to build distribution points & increase rate of sale of the brands products.
• Planning & delivering promotions & activations – working alongside the trade marketing manager to bring the brand to life, in-store & online.
• Building commercial strategy tailored to your accounts needs & negotiation business plans to deliver profitable growth.
• Building & maintaining a volume & net sales forecast to inform procurement & investment plans, reporting variances to forecast.
• Working closely with the supply chain teams to ensure excelling on-shelf availability.
• Updating & analysing weekly retail sales data & sharing insights to the wider teams.
• Evalutating effectiveness of trade spend investments & inputting to commercial strategy.
• Sharing retailer feedback internally to wider functions.
• Supporting junior members of the sales team.
Required:
• A minimum of 6 years of experience within sales or account management.
• Experience working in a consumer goods brand that supplies major UK retailers.
• A growth mindset – you’ll be ambitious and ready to grow with the business.
• Analytical thinker – you use data to inform your decision making.
• Creative problem solver – you consider multiple angles and ask what you would need to be true to make things happen.
• Amazing communicator – ability to build relationships & influence.
• Commercial acumen – able & comfortable managing a full P&L.
