Technical Manager

Currently, they are seeking an experienced Technical Manager to become part of their team based in London. On offer: • Salary is £60,000 to £70,000 doe + bonus • 33 days holiday • Enhanced pension • Hybrid working • Healthcare • Retailer discounts and offers The role: Reporting to Ops Director, the Technical Manager will take on a range of crucial responsibilities. Firstly, you'll lead and manage all aspects of Food Safety and Food Technology to ensure the brand's compliance and quality standards. Building and nurturing strong supplier relationships is another vital part of the role, ensuring that suppliers align with the brand's requirements and practices. Additionally, you'll be responsible for overseeing supplier audits, risk assessments, and performance monitoring, maintaining essential supplier information for both internal and external stakeholders. You will also participate in site visits and audits as needed, ensuring that follow-up actions are successfully carried out. Your critical thinking and technical expertise will play a pivotal role in evaluating and facilitating confident decision-making. Lastly, close collaboration with the broader management team is essential to support the brand's overarching business goals. The candidate: • A minimum of 3 years experience working in a Technical Management role within food manufacturing. • Hold a degree in Food Science or the equivalent experience • Good knowledge of the food industry and UK food legislation is essential • HACCP level 3 or above • Good working knowledge / certified in BRC • A motivated, proactive individual who can work well under pressure • An individual with strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills is essential.
