Trade Marketing Manager

The business operates globally, and they supply retail, food service and B2B channels in the UK. As the Trade Marketing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the brand's visibility, market share, and profitability across various wholesale, retail, and HoReCa channels. You will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies and initiatives that align with the company's objectives and resonate with our target consumers and partners. Hertfordshire / Hybrid Working • £55k - £70k (DOE) What your tasks are: • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with brand objectives and sales targets. • Analyze market trends, consumer insights, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and develop actionable plans. • Plan and execute wholesale and retail activation programs, promotions, and trade marketing campaigns to drive brand visibility, sales, and market share. • Work closely with sales teams to ensure effective implementation of trade marketing initiatives at the point of sale. • Develop strong relationships with key wholesale, retail and HoReCa partners. • Negotiate trade marketing agreements and promotional opportunities to maximize visibility and sales within each channel. • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop compelling POS materials, sales collateral, and trade marketing assets tailored to different channels and customer segments. • Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to maximize ROI and achieve business objectives. • Track and analyze the performance of marketing initiatives, promotions, and campaigns against predefined KPIs. • Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on the effectiveness of marketing activities and recommendations for optimization. • Work closely with sales, marketing, product development, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment of trade marketing activities with overall business goals and strategies. • Provide training and support to sales teams and retail partners on product knowledge, promotions, and merchandising best practices. What are we looking for: • Proven experience (3 years) in marketing or related roles within the poultry, food or FMCG industry. • Strong understanding of retail channels, trade marketing principles, and consumer behaviour. • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data- driven decisions. • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. • Creative thinker with a strategic mindset and a passion for driving business growth. • Proven project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
