UK Head of HSE
Alexander Steele is working exclusively with a leading food manufacturing business in London. Our client is looking for an experienced Head of HSE to manage 3 manufacturing sites across the UK. The role holder will play a fundamental part in making sure each site HSE strategy aligns on a group level. The Head of HSE will lead a team of professionals and collaborate with various departments to promote a culture of safety and sustainability.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement HSE strategies aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements.
• Establish comprehensive health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance local and national guidelines.
• Create, develop, and maintain the Site SHE Management Systems to ISO standards.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and implement mitigation measures to reduce risks to personnel and the environment.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and external partners to promote HSE initiatives and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Provide professional leadership, support, and development to team members on a group level.
Background Experience:
• 7+ years’ experience within HSE management positions in food, drinks and fmcg manufacturing environments.
• NEBOSH diploma or equivalent, ISO14001 Auditor
• Excellent knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
• A strong track record of leading and motivating teams in previous positions.
• Excellent communication, planning and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organisational skills and an exceptional attention to detail.
What’s on Offer:
• Paying up to £82,500
• 12.5% bonus
• 7% pension
• 25 days holidays + bank holidays
• Onsite Monday – Friday 8:30am-5pm
