Wholesale Sales Manager – UK Alexander Steele are delighted to announce that we have partnered with a successful and market-leading FMCG brand to find a UK Wholesale Sales Manager to join their team. Summary of Role: • Develop a sales network for the UK wholesale business and developing key strategic partnerships in line with business goals. • A field-based role, which will be operating remotely from the Edinburgh office overseeing a Field Sales Team covering the UK. • You should use your creativity and thorough knowledge of sales processes in the UK market to provide innovative ideas for business growth. Communication and team management skills are also essential for this position. • You should aspire to develop and maintain successful relationships with large, nationally distributed customers and key independent stores. Managerial Responsibilities • Recruitment, training, and development of a team of Field Sales Operatives. • Developing and implementing effective sales strategies relative to each designated territory. • Leading nationwide sales team members to achieve sales targets. • Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts. • Execute the B2B wholesale strategy in line with business goals, budget forecast and planned activities in line with the UK wholesale strategy. • Negotiate and close agreements with large customers. • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts and team KPI’s. • Stay up to date with new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board. Operational Responsibilities • Manage and update client database. • Work with the marketing department for sales related viral marketing strategy and product launches. • Support wholesale accounts with marketing tools such as, Clinics, Trunk shows and store activation campaigns. • Develop and manage internal and external reporting to maximise the sales performance. • Provide market data and insights to the management team. • Provide feedback to the product development team from buyers, agents, and retailers in order to optimise the range plan. • Identifying and contact potential business partners and vendors. • Establishing new and existing long-term business relationships. • Attending trade shows, meetings, and networking events. Requirements: • Proven work experience as a national sales manager. • Experience managing a high-performance sales team. • An ability to understand and analyse sales performance metrics. • Solid customer service attitude with excellent negotiation skills. • Strong communication and team management skills. • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar wholesale focused business. • Strong organisational and analytical skills. • Flexible to travel and have a clean driver’s license.
