Currently, they are seeking an Buyer to become part of their team based in London. The role: Reporting to the Procurement Director, the Buyer will be instrumental in managing key supplier relationships. The role involves working closely with the Product Development Team, aiding in supplier assessment, selection processes, and contract negotiations. This cross-functional collaboration ensures alignment with organisational objectives, facilitating effective procurement strategies. Key responsibilities; • Negotiation of contractual terms. • Focusing on long-term plans to ensure suppliers can meet the brand's growth ambitions. • Looking at current processes and improvements with suppliers and supply chain. • Be a key part of the delivery team for all new product launches. • Identifying new suppliers and ensuring they can deliver on quality and food safety. The candidate: • At least 2 years experience working in direct buying in a food manufacturing / agent and broker • Excellent supplier management and negotiation skills • Ability to communicate with people effectively at all levels • Organised with a good eye for detail.
