Alexander Steele are delighted to be working in partnership with an exciting food brand who produce and supply high quality products to major UK Retailer. A new opportunity has arisen in their Technical function for a talented Food Technologist to join their team in London. On Offer: • A salary of £35,000 to £50,000 depending on experience • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays • Enhanced pension • Hybrid working • The opportunity to travel to Europe as part of your role The role: As Food Technologist you will report in to and support the Technical Manager with the delivery of technical requirements within the business. You will work with internal stakeholders (NPD, procurement, commercial, supply chain and operations) as well as working with suppliers and customers. • Offer Technical support to sales, procurement and to the businesses customers • Review and amend specifications and artwork • Liaise with customers regarding product queries and issues and ensure a prompt and effective resolution • Liaise with suppliers to ensure they have the relevant customer COPs and make sure these are adhered to • Work with Technical Manager to put in place supplier improvement plans • Ensure actions for audits are completed. • Support with auditing, VACCP, risk assessments and performance monitoring reviews • Gap analysis visits • Support the Technical manager to ensure relevant information is shared with the team and wider business • Timely production of reports and data • Ensure that record and store information is accurate The candidate: • A minimum of 3 years experience working in a similar Technical role within food manufacturing • Hold a degree in Food Science or the equivalent experience • Good knowledge of the food industry and UK and European food legislation • HACCP level 3 or above • A motivated individual who can work well under pressure • An individual with strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills If you think this could be the role for you please apply along with an up to date CV.
