Alexander Steele are delighted to be partnered with a highly reputable, global Food Manufacturing business based in Leicestershire to onboard a new Management Accountant. The successful applicants key focus is to assist the operations team in preparing, analysing and reporting financial performance against budget and targets. Core Responsibilities: • Maintain and update the database used for the calculation of the standard product cost for each product manufactured on site • Using production quantities, calculate a weekly result for the site and compare actual usage to standard usage for raw materials consumption and labour hours • Analyse the variances to provide insight to assist in the efficient management of the production process • Produce month end site P&L account analysing accounting data from SAP and completing with month end accruals, prepayments and recharges as required • Extract and produce reports to explain and analyse variances against standard for manufacturing and labour losses and and fixed costs to budget • Produce factory budget and reforecasts in accordance with the methodology of the group • Calculation of PCU for NPD as required • Adhere to group accounting procedures and internal controls About you: • Previous experience in a similar role within FMCG or Food Production • ACCA/CIMA/ICAEW Qualified or equivalent • Newly qualified, QBE or Part-qualified will be considered • Experience in using SAP is desirable • The ability to extract, manipulate, analyse and report data in Excel and Access is essential Remuneration: • Paying circa £45k • 25 days Holiday + Public • BUPA • Bonus plan of 5% • Company Pension as standard The role does allow for hybrid working, however, the successful applicant must foster close relationships with key stakeholders, including the manufacturing team on site.
