The Role
Our client is seeking a Senior National Account Manager to manage and grow the wholesale, convenience and impulse accounts in support of delivering the long-term business goals.
Key responsibilities
- Manage relationships with national convenience and impulse retailers alongside wholesalers in partnership with distributor networks.
- Develop and implement account plans aligned with brand and channel strategies to drive growth.
- Lead annual negotiations, promotional planning, and deliver accurate forecasting.
- Collaborate with marketing, shopper marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure flawless execution.
- Use category insights to optimise range, space, and visibility within retailers.
- Build and execute plans that balance both push and pull levers to drive performance in the convenience channel.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities, with a focus on unlocking Booker Wholesale, BRP, and associated fascia groups.
- Monitor KPIs, sales results, and ROI to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain a strong focus on profitability while delivering revenue growth.
- Demonstrated experience managing national convenience, impulse and wholesale accounts, including Costco, Booker, Co-op, Bestway, Dhamecha, and Parfetts for example.
- 5–10 years’ experience within the impulse sector, with an established network of industry contacts.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on growth and building new opportunities.
- Customer-focused, with a strong understanding of shopper needs and behaviours.
- Naturally curious and eager to learn in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Highly motivated, ambitious, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Confident in using data, forecasting, and developing persuasive business cases.
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to engage externally with ease.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and presentation abilities.
- Passionate about health, fitness, or sports nutrition.
- Up to £70,000 basic salary (depending on experience)
- £7,500 Car allowance
- 20% bonus
- 5% employer pension contribution
- Hybrid role with 3 days in the office – Central London
